DO NOT MESSAGE ME IF YOU HAVE NO PICTURE UP. I have pics and I expect the same of you. I love to read because it offers a degree of immersion that no other medium offers to me. A book can be different every time you read it, and the experience is richer each time in a way that films (much as I love them) seldom are. It would be hard for me to pick one favorite author, and while I'm a Christian, saying the Bible would be misleading - I read that to deepen my relationship with God, not for recreation. Mostly when I read for fun I'm looking to go to another place for a while, to escape the real world as I know it. For this reason I generally prefer science fiction and fantasy, although I also read other things (classic horror, mystery, some historical, nonfiction). Books that I really value and reread often include Lois McMaster Bujold, though; I've never met another protagonist like her Miles Vorkosigan, and she really manages character interactions incredibly well.
